Neal Bledsoe41, stated he was leave the network to support the LGBTQ+ community. but Danica McKellarShe, who has worked with Neal on three films, felt differently about the situation, as she explained in an interview with FoxNews At ChristmasCon on December 10th.
“Neal is a wonderful person. He’s such a great actor and I so enjoyed working with him.” The Wonderful Years Stern, 47, said. “He and I certainly share our love and support for the LGBT community. I disagree with his interpretation of her comments. I just didn’t see her like that,” she added.
Although Neal and Danica are friends, they disagree over Candace’s comment, which sparked controversy in Hollywood. That Full house alum said the Wall Street Journal in November that she left the Hallmark Channel for the Great American Family network because she believes the network “will keep traditional marriage at its core.” Candace also said she doesn’t think the network has any plans to write gay leads in their films.
After receiving backlash, Candace released a statement saying she was heartbroken to hear that people thought she was a fanatic. “All who know me know without a doubt that I have great love and affection for all people. It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I was intentionally trying to offend and hurt someone,” she said Instagram. “To everyone reading this, regardless of race, creed, sexuality, or political party, including those who have tried to abuse me, I love you.”
