GMA 3: What you need to know co-anchor Amy Roebach and TJ Holmes addressed recent rumors that they are in a full blown relationship — well, sort of. The couple returned from their seats in the third hour Good morning America on Friday December 2 and apparently joked about their apparent romance. “Hello everyone. Good afternoon. Welcome to GMA3: What you need to know on this Friday. You know, it’s a shame it’s Friday,” TJ, 45, began on the hour, as seen in the video clip here. “Is it?” Amy, 49, replied.
Responding to his co-host’s confusion, TJ smiled and continued, “It’s been a great week. I just want this one to go on and on and on. Simply enjoy. … Record everything.” Amy protested his satisfaction. “Speak for yourself,” she shot back.

Footage, taken on a handful of separate occasions, showed the two hosts spending a lot of time together off the air. In some of the pictures they were holding hands while others showed them looking quite cozy in a bar. When the photos came out, neither Amy nor TJ had announced that they were separated from their spouses. However, persons finally confirmed that both had ended their marriage months earlier.
Footage from November 10 showed the two sitting very close together in a New York bar and having a drink. They were also seen getting into a car together after their outing to the bar. Another photo, dated November 13, appeared to show the two unpacking a car during a weekend trip to Shawangunk Mountain, and TJ appeared to be grabbing Amy’s butt.
Additionally, a Nov. 17 photo showed the two playing playfully outside of NYU Langone Medical Center. They were last seen taking a walk together on Monday November 28th. They also appeared to be holding hands in a car after the outing. An eyewitness from the bar tells DM that they seemed very into each other. “They had a crush on each other. She giggled at everything he said and they looked at each other’s phones. At one point she was dancing in her chair to the music and laughing so hard she practically fell into his lap,” the witness said.
According to the reports, both anchors made theirs Instagram profiles Private. Amy came to ABC as GMA Correspondent in 2012, after five years as host weekend today on NBC. She became an anchor GMA in March 2014. TJ joined ABC in 2014 after years at CNN and BET. He was named as the anchor at GMA in December 2014. The two started hosting GMA3 2020 with Jennifer Ashton.
In addition to their similar starting times at ABC, Amy and TJ are both married. Coincidentally, they both got married with their spouses in 2010. TJ married his second wife Marilee Fiebig in March 2010. They have a daughter. TJ also shares a son and daughter with his first wife Amy Ferson. His co-host was married to an actor Andrew Shue since 2010. Amy has been married to before Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2008, and they share two daughters.
