Julia and George have been friends and colleagues for years. They starred in the film earlier this year Entrance ticket to paradise together and went on a press tour together to promote the film. Despite their incredible chemistry, the two revealed in an interview for the film that they never thought of taking their friendship to a more romantic place. “Julia was always in a relationship or I was in a relationship,” George explained. “We were instant friends. It was nothing. We were just having fun. So I don’t think so [dating] was ever really a thing.”

Entrance ticket to paradise was filmed in late 2021 amid the coronavirus pandemic. The film was shot in Australia and Julia was separated from her husband and three children during production. However, she remained close to George, Amal and their twins during the time away from their family. “The Clooneys saved me from utter loneliness and despair,” Julia authorized. “We were in a bubble and it was the longest time I’ve been away from my family. I don’t think I’ve spent that much time alone since I was 25.”
