Miley Cyrus: singer, songwriter, two-time Grammy nominee, actress and hairstylist since December 9th. During her recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Cyrus was hired to shave host Jimmy Fallon’s beard in front of his live studio audience, and the results weren’t too shabby, actually.
“It’s not as bad as it looks.”
When asked if she had any previous experience shaving her beard, Cyrus answered openly, “No. I don’t know what you’re going to look like,” before throwing a cloak over Fallon. She then began trimming his neck in unsteady upward motions and quipped, “It’s not as bad as it looks.” The banter continued during their impromptu salon session, with Fallon mimicking a wrestler as Cyrus first grew his facial hair into one goatee styled. While removing hair from under his chin, Cyrus hilariously exclaimed, “I think it’s in my mouth,” and Fallon added, “You just threw a piece on the floor.”
After completing the upper lip area, Cyrus revealed her handiwork to the audience, brushing away excess hair from Fallon’s face like a true pro. Fallon has been rocking the beard since the MTV Video Music Awards, where his new look caused some thirst from viewers.
Before showing off her hairstyling skills on The Tonight Show, Cyrus sat down to talk about her upcoming New Year’s Eve special, which she is co-hosting with her godmother, Dolly Parton. She revealed several musical guests who will be attending the celebration, including Latto, Sia and Rae Sremmurd, and teased that she will be announcing more artists as the concert gets closer.
