Gisele Bundchen made her first public appearance since announcing her split from Tom Brady on Monday night in her native Brazil. The 42-year-old former supermodel looked like a golden goddess in a shimmering gown at Vivara’s 60th anniversary dinner. Bundchen appeared to be in good spirits as she documented her evening on her Instagram Stories.
Bundchen’s outing comes nearly two months after she and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback announced they are divorcing after 13 years of marriage. In a statement shared on his Instagram story, Brady wrote, “In the last few days my wife and I have finalized our divorce after 13 years of marriage.” time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always make sure they get the love and attention they deserve.”
Bundchen shared similar statements on her Instagram story, writing, “Deciding to end a marriage is never easy but we grew apart and while it’s obviously difficult to go through, I feel blessed for the time we had together and always wishing Tom the best. I kindly request that our privacy be respected at this sensitive time.”
The former couple share two children, son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10, in addition to Brady’s older son Jack from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan. Despite their split, Brady and Bundchen remain committed to raising their children together. “I think there are a lot of professionals in life who go through things that they deal with at work and at home,” Brady shared on an Oct. 31 episode of Let’s Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim” with Grauer Podcast. “The good news, of course, is that it’s a very friendly situation and I’m really focused on two things: looking after my family – and certainly my children – and second, doing my best to win football games.”
