Al Roker discharged from hospital after second health crisis as ‘Today’ staff celebrate +2023

Al Roker is back home after two hospitalizations in the past month. The Today Show star shared on social media yesterday (December 8) that he has been released and is back with his family, posting a happy selfie on Instagram to mark the occasion.

The meteorologist grinned at the camera his latest post, which featured a photo of him and another snap of him and his wife, journalist Deborah Roberts, and a third of Roberts, Roker and their daughter Leila. He captioned the pictures, “Home! So incredibly grateful for family, friends, medical professionals, @todayshow family and all your thoughts and prayers.

Roker’s followers were over the moon with the update, with his Today’s show Co-star Savannah Guthrie commented, “CUTIES!! Right where you belong,” and Katie Couric adds, “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

rockers today colleagues too shared the exciting news live on air today where they played his favorite song to celebrate.

“You know who will be just as happy as us? Every single person that came waits with Al every single day,” Hoda Kotb said as Guthrie pointed out all the signs of fans she’d noticed in support of Roker.

“We feel the same way and he’ll be back soon,” she said.

Roker was first hospitalized last month with blood clots in his legs and lungs and has missed weeks The Today Show, as well as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. He was later released, only to be reinstated 24 hours later on November 25 page six.

His return home comes after Roker posted a positive message on his Instagram just hours before his release yesterday. Along with a photo of a sunset, he wrote: “Hope to come home soon but if your mind slacks off a little, you can see that and recharge. God bless you all for all the prayers and well wishes for me and my family.”
