Zoe Saldaña brilliantly breathes life into this deeply human story and demonstrates her ability to create a rich and complex character in such a short number of episodes, further highlighting her amazing talents. Don’t forget her masterful work in Emmy season.
Sadie Sink in Stranger Things
There have been many performances throughout the year that people couldn’t stop talking about, but Sadie Sink’s standout performance stranger things Season 4 may have been the leader of the pack. Sink’s role in season four not only sent an ’80s hit back up the charts, but she delved deeper into shades of Max we hadn’t seen before. Without Sink adding sympathy, belonging and so much more to her performance, Max’s fight with Vecna might not have delivered the same intense emotional punch. Although as a whole The happiest girl in the world was a hit or miss movie depending on the audience, we can all agree that Mila Kunis makes everything work. She is perhaps best as Ani in the Netflix original film, giving a well-rounded performance both on the outside and on the inside. Playing Ani required a great deal of skill from the performer, and Kunis more than delivered in one of the best performances of 2022 on Netflix.

We have already named Firefly Lane one of the most underrated Netflix shows of 2022, so it should come as no surprise that we’ll also be raising one of the two main stars, Katherine Heigl. As the confident Tully Hart, Heigl bites into the most confident individual performance of her career. Firefly Lane helped Heigl reach her full potential as an actress, and it’s a shame it’s ending after two seasons.
Millie Bobby Brown in Stranger Things
Obviously, Millie played Bobby Brown incredibly well in the role of Eleven stranger things since it premiered on Netflix in the summer of 2016. But her performance in the outsized fourth season could be her best — and most underrated — yet. The sheer amount of work that she put into these episodes, whether it was responding to bullying or confronting Vecna or floating in a tub of water, is amazing. Brown commits to Eleven and it pays off.
Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini in Dead to Me
After watching the third and final season of dead to me The spectators certainly didn’t have a dry eye and no unbroken heart. The season’s devastating storytelling was beautifully written and directed, but made even better by the appearances of Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini. we would have highlighting the stars as a couple, because the force of nature that these two brought to the screen is simply inseparable.
Since the release of dead to me Season 3, Applegate has been honest about how difficult it was for her to get through the production of the show’s final episodes. This makes their performance even more powerful and special. Knowing that she and Cardellini had each other’s backs, as did Jen and Judy, is the perfect metaphor for what the show was about. We will miss these two who truly are the definition of “best actresses”.
