Firefly Lane’‘s final season has officially begun with the release of the first nine episodes of the 16-episode season on December 2nd. The new season picks up after the season one cliffhanger showing Tully and Kate having a fight Firefly Lane Season 2 is in the near future.
Throughout the season, new puzzle pieces are unraveled as to what caused the rift between the inseparable best friends, and the puzzle seems potentially tragic. Something big had to have happened to tear Tully Hart and Kate Mularkey apart.

Who dies in part 1 of firefly lane season 2?
As mentioned above, Firefly Lane Season 2, Part 1 follows a car accident in 2004. It turns out that Tully was the driver of the car, and the paramedics find her quite battered behind the wheel. However, she wasn’t the only person in the car.
The truth comes out towards the end of the season. When Tully takes Marah out for a night out, the teenager, despite Kate’s orders not to let her go anywhere, persuades her to go to the movies with her crush Ashley. Later that night, Marah tearfully calls Tully because Ashley took her to a frat party, leaving Marah feeling scared and in danger.
Tully, who had a glass of wine before the call, recalls her teenage sexual assault and rushes to pick Marah up from the party. After rescuing Marah, Tully drives her home. She is going through a green light when a car runs a red light and collides with Tully’s car. Both are taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but neither Tully nor Marah die in the car accident.
The only person who dies in it Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 1 is about Kate’s father Bud. He dies in his sleep after Thanksgiving dinner in 2004. Kate and Marah attend his funeral when they encounter Tully, who intends to pay her respects.
In the 1970s, Tully and Kate mistakenly believe that Cloud’s friend Leon overdosed at the Harts’ home. The best friends work together to clean and declutter the house with Cloud’s parole officer along the way, which includes stashing Leon’s “dead” body under the stairs. Luckily Leon wasn’t dead and she might not be committing a crime.
