Which line from the Shazam 2 trailer does DC fandom share?
Recently at the San Diego Comic ConDC released the first trailer of Shazam! The Wrath of the Gods. What was meant to be a major update for DC fandom instead angered them. A line from Zachary Levi in the trailer caused some fans to get so upset that they so harshly criticized director David F. Sandberg He decided to remove the line from the film. Towards the end of the trailer, Zachary threw a truck at the dragon and said: “I just threw a truck at a kite. I love my life.” What should be the usual trope of stating the obvious for comedic effectinstead upset some fans.

Fans went on to call it a cringe line and even a cringe movie. On the other hand, some fans came to his defense. A handful of people defended the line, stating that Billy was just a kid and the line fit him perfectly. Interestingly, the age-old debate between DC and MCU reignited when fans brought Robert Downey Jr. into the discussion.
It’s straight out of the comics and suits the character perfectly. People will complain about the most ridiculous things while praising rdj for calling Squidward what his name is. pic.twitter.com/u4cKAyliHJ

Billy is a kid. It suits his character. For example, if the roles were reversed and Marvel had the darker universe, Spiderman would still be his joking self. Why? Because he’s a kid and it fits the character of Spiderman

Do you even know who Shazam is? He’s a kid who’s become a superhero. That’s literally something he would say. Also in the comics he says such excitable things
