Among the well-dressed guests, style partners Alexa Demie and Taylor Russell commanded attention with their coordinating fashions on the red carpet at the Moët & Chandon Holiday Season Celebration Party in New York.
They have since acted together in Trey Edward Shults’ film WaveActors Alexa Demie and Taylor Russell have become one of the most stylish friendships in showbiz. From the red carpets to the streets of Paris, the popular friends have made headlines with their upscale fashion.
On December 5, the pair continued to build on their lookbook together by attending Moët & Chandon’s holiday party. With their fabulously coordinated looks, the two stole the spotlight upon their arrival at Lincoln Center. The actors lived up to their It Girls titles by sporting high-fashion suits by Alaïa and Schiaparelli respectively.
Alexa is no stranger to incredible vintage finds and rocked Alaïa Ensemble by the late designer Spring Summer 1992 Collection. The set consisted of a fitted corset jacket with a white lace trim at the neckline and a matching midi skirt with a ruffled hem. That euphoria Star paired the outfit with black heels, a pearly white manicure and a sleek hairstyle with a curl on her forehead.
Meanwhile, Taylor sported a little black dress by Schiaparelli Spring 2022 Haute Couture Collection. Of course, given Creative Director Daniel Roseberry’s penchant for drama, the LBD was anything but conventional. The long-sleeved dress featured elements that hinted at the collection’s space and sci-fi inspirations. Circumferential details adorned the neckline, hips, elbows and wrists and gave the outfit a futuristic flair. Taylor kept things simple with a well-brushed bob and makeup that highlighted her long lashes.
As noted by some Twitter users, amidst the flow Wednesday Phenomenon, Alexa and Taylor’s bouts created some serious Wednesday chic vibes. There is actually a tiny similarity. In one of Wednesday’s most iconic scenes – the Rave’N dance – Jenna Ortega also wears an Alaïa dress. But that’s as far as it goes.
