Anyone who says “Rom-Com” is the new “horror” is seriously disturbed – and the She is. Reese Witherspoon, who has a brief cameo appearance in Netflix’s new hit series Wednesday, shared her funny reaction to the Naturally blond Easter egg in the hit series on TikTok.
On the Tim Burton show, the title character – played by the captivating Jenny Ortega – agrees to a date with local barista Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), and he goes the extra mile to impress her.
The boy teases that he has a horror movie waiting in line for them to watch, but when he presses play, the all-too-familiar tune from Huku’s “Perfect Day” begins to play and the strip on the projection screen is that of the Witherspoon comedy 2001
The actress shared her reaction to the big reveal on TikTok with the caption, “Give Elle a chance Wednesday!” The short video that Witherspoon shared with her 8.7million followers includes the on-screen caption: “This moment, in you recognize Wednesday’s ‘horror movie’.”

Netflix shared the clip on her Twitter account and wrote: “Reese Witherspoon finally made it to episode 7 of Wednesday.” Many fans expressed their support with one Leave a Comment “it was hilarious” and another call it “A crossover we never knew we needed.”
Since debuting on the streamer on November 23rd Wednesday quickly climbed the social ladder to become Netflix’s most-streamed series in a single week, with over 50 million households watching it for 341.23 million hours stranger thingswho previously held the record at 335.01 million hours.
While the show’s future is unknown, these numbers suggest that more of the Addams family’s zany teenager are coming to Netflix. And in the meantime Naturally blonde 3 is under development with Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor writing the screenplay and Witherspoon returning to play Elle Woods.
