Nick Carter looked carefree and unperturbed as he stepped out with his colleague in New York City Back Street Boys Members on December 8th. Despite making headlines for a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him that same day, Nick smiled and waved to fans waiting outside the Empire State Building for BSB. He appeared to be in good spirits as he greeted the eager fans.
The outing came after Nick denied allegations of sexual harassment against him. In a lawsuit, a woman alleges the alleged sexual assault occurred on a Backstreet Boys tour bus in 2001. She says she was 17 at the time of the alleged incident. Nick denied the allegations in a statement through his attorney.
“This allegation of an incident that allegedly occurred more than 20 years ago is not only legally unfounded but also completely false,” Nick’s attorney said in a statement. “Unfortunately, Ms. Ruth has been manipulated into making allegations against Nick for several years, and those allegations have been repeated and materially modified over time.” The attorney also called the lawsuit a “press stunt.”
Meanwhile, ABC has decided that it will not air its upcoming Christmas special. A very back street holidayamid the allegations, according to diversity. The Christmas special was filmed earlier this month and aired on the network on December 14. The Backstreet Boys performed several Christmas carols during the now drawn special and special guests were in attendance such as Seth Rogen and Megan Coach.
In November, Nick’s younger brother, Aaron CarterHe was found dead in his house, and the singer has been mourning for weeks. Although the two weren’t always close, Nick was saddened by the news of Aaron’s death. However, he has continued to fulfill his work obligations at BSB following the tragedy.
