Good fashion never goes out of style – and Kate Winslet is living proof! The actress pulled off an outfit iteration Avatar: The Way of Water Premieres in London on Tuesday 6th December.
The Titanic star, 47, graced the red carpet in a dazzling halterneck dress by Badgley Mischka. The dress had a form fitting silhouette and a beautiful crystal design on the bodice. Winslet paired the dress with dangling earrings and wore her hair in a messy but chic updo. For her glamour, the British native sported dainty lashes and a soft pink lip.
Winslet first wore the floor-length beauty to the premiere of in 2015 The tailor. Tonight, she modeled a similar updo, but opted for a center part instead of the voluminous combo she wore on Tuesday. That Mare by Easttown Star completed the look with diamond earrings and dark nail polish.
Winslet’s style moment wasn’t the only highlight of the avatar 2 Premiere. Fans have been waiting for the 2009 film’s sequel for years – and it will officially hit theaters on December 16th.
In 2017 it was announced that the Oscar winner would join Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver – all reprising their roles – in the second installment of JamesCameron‘s sci-fi action film. After its debut, the first film became the highest-grossing film of all time. Winslet portrays Ronal, a leader of the water-based Metkayina clan.
“I absolutely loved the first Avatar film,” Winslet said Rich in February. “The deeper themes it conveyed about our sinking planet were extremely poignant, and that mattered to me… I had no reservations at all.”
She continued, “I jumped into a well-oiled machine, so I was excited as I imagined that everything they learned as filmmakers from the first film would only be ironed out and reinforced in the second run. And that’s fun!”
That way of the water takes place 10 years after the events of avatar and follows Neytiri (Saldana) and Jake (Worthington) as they try to protect Pandora from human invasion while raising their teenage children who will be the focus of the story.
The cast also includes Edie Falko, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, CCH rammer and Brendan Cowell.
“Ultimately, the sequels are a story about family and the struggles parents go to to keep this family together and to protect them,” said producer Jon Landau Weekly entertainment in December 2021.
