Amy Robach and TJ Holmes maintained a united front Good morning America today appear behind the GMA3 Desk, as usual, a day after news of their alleged affair splattered the room Daily Mail Home page. The co-anchors who are hosts GMA3 at the side of dr. Jennifer Ashton, didn’t even give a hint about yesterday’s drama and went on as usual…much to the dismay of Twitter, who were hoping for a juicy show.
When GMA3 Open at 1pm today, there was no sign of the scandal apart from a casual comment from Holmes. As Robach welcomed viewers to the “Friday Eve” show, Holmes giggled and shuffled his papers and asked, “Who’s looking forward to the weekend?”
Robach replied, “Uh, me,” and immediately raised her hand, while Holmes added, “Of course we are.”
The brief exchange wasn’t enough to satisfy viewers, who were stunned by the casualness of the presenters just 24 hours after their private lives were exposed to the entire internet.
“Don’t they still act like nothing happened on Good Morning America 💀😭 the AUDACITY,” one wrote.
Other added, “Why am I watching Good Morning America right now and in shock these two are still filming together! This can’t be live 😂😂😂” while another viewer interfered, “Good Morning America, TJ and Amy reported as if they weren’t in hot water. 🤔”
Holmes and Robach were back to work as usual afterwards The Daily Mail and page six Both reported that the co-hosts had been romantically involved for months. page six claimed that Holmes and Robach began their affair in March and left their respective spouses in August.
A source told the outlet today that producers are behind the ABC show “Freak out and have meetings about whether getting them back on air together was the right thing to do,” but co-hosts smoothed out the whole mess for tonight’s show.
“They showed up as a couple and said they were ready and perfectly fine to go on the air,” a source said page six.
GMA3 airs weekdays at 12 p.m. ET on ABC.
