Wednesday Season 1 took over Netflix when it premiered on November 23. Break streaming records with ease. Within its first week Wednesday beat out stranger things Season 4 and is currently the most watched English language TV show on the platform.

As the series’ fan base continues to grow, Netflix has begun sharing behind-the-scenes tidbits about how the series came to life — and you’ll never believe the special effects magic that went into filming Thing’s scenes.

ICYMI: Thing, the living dismembered hand that was part of The Addams family has played a fairly large role in Tim Burton’s Netflix series 2022 since its cartoon conception in the 1930s Wednesday. When Wednesday is sent to Nevermore Academy, her father places Gomez Thing in charge of overseeing her safety. But before long, Wednesday wraps Thing in her detective work and the two become the mysterious duo we didn’t know we needed. Arguably the MVP for the entire first season, Thing was quickly loved by fans.

“I love so many things Wednesday but I LOVE that thing wearing that little party hat,” one fan wrote on Twitter, while others called him “the cutest character” and “the star” of the entire series.
