Adele announced that she was getting back to work on her mental health during a candid moment with her Weekends with Adele audience on Saturday, December 10 and helped her process her divorce from her ex-husband Simon Konecki, from whom she split in 2019. “I started therapy again because I went a couple of years without it. “But I stopped blaming myself for my own behavior and the things I would say,” she continued while sitting at the piano. “But now I’m doing it because I just want to make sure I’m recharging every week to make sure I can give you my all. And my whole therapy session this week was really interesting, it was about those shows.”
Adele burst into tears as she explained how much songwriting means to her despite suffering from severe stage fright. “I always get so emotional, I love making music, but there’s something about performing live that scares me and fills me with anxiety,” she added. “That’s why I’m not a big touring artist. I did it last time to prove I could do it. But this experience of being in a space this size, I think I could be a live performer for the rest of my life.”
The confession of the “Easy On Me” hitmaker – who shares a 10-year-old son Angel with Simon and is now dating a sports agent Rich Paul, comes a week after she had a slightly milder incident at her Las Vegas residence. The Oscar-winning actress beamed from ear to ear during the Weekends with Adele concert on December 2 as she made her way through the crowd before a gentleman secretly tried to slip his fingers at her, according to the hilarious clip , which was posted by PopCrave. Like the pro she is, Adele kept it moving with a laugh and quickly returned the note to the hopeful Stan.
And the weekend before, Adele announced she wanted to perform to an audience that was loosened up with liquid guts! The iconic singer made sure to let her resident audience know she prefers to buzz her fans a bit during her performances at Caesar’s Palace. “Go and order some drinks… the drunker you are, the better I am,” the “Water Under the Bridge” hitmaker said loudly between songs The mirror.
The British beauty – who canceled her original residency last year after saying she wasn’t ready – also thanked her fans for showing up. “I worked my ass off for this. I couldn’t have done that other show and you wouldn’t have liked it either, I’m telling you,” she said onstage, according to the outlet.
