In Hollywood, we’re never short of celebrity beef. Time and time again we’ve seen a plethora of celebrity dating 50 cent and Floyd Mayweather to Jay Z and NBA legend Allen Iverson; The list of celebrity fights is endless. However, when talking about beef and controversy, one must not forget Kanye West, who is one of the most controversial rappers. Recently, West has become one of the most popular media targets and has been in the spotlight for his questionable statements. So that’s not surprising The Flashing Lights hitmaker once had a falling out with Michael Jordan.
Kanye is not new to online feuds and beefs. Every now and then the rapper makes headlines. West has been involved in various feuds with big celebrities like Drake and Pete Davidson. And before that, the rapper even had a feud with Michael Jordan when the rapper dissed Jordan’s shoe line in his song Facts. So even though I diss him for his song why did the rapper want to connect with the basketball legend?

Kanye West wanted to meet Michael Jordan?
In his song “Facts,” Kanye West attacked Michael Jordan where he claimed Yeezy jumped over Jumpman. And as we all know, Jordan is extremely competitive, be it in basketball or sneaker sales. Still, the rapper wanted to meet the Chicago Bulls legend. West claimed he would buy the Chicago Bulls so he could work things out with Jordan in his song City of Gods. He rapped on his song “After I buy the Chicago Bulls, I’m going to hook up with Mike.”

Due to the previous diss, Jordan still hasn’t met West. Despite Jumpman’s refusal to meet him, West didn’t give up a chance, having apologized to Jordan multiple times. Previously, Marcus Jordan tried to bring the two legends together but failed. West expressed his disappointment in a podcast where he uncovered, “I’m trying to hook up with Michael Jordan, it’s like, ‘Man, it’s a song, man.'”
