Prince William and Kate Middleton’s annual Christmas card has arrived. On Tuesday, the Prince and Princess of Wales released a new holiday portrait with their three children: Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4. “We’re sharing a new family picture for this year’s Christmas card! 🎄,” William and Kate continued Instagram. This year’s family portrait, which shows the brood in coordinating denim and blue outfits, was taken by photographer Matt Porteous earlier this year.
The family photo follows William and Kate’s recent trip to the United States. During their three-day visit to Boston in late November, the royals visited a Somerville climate technology startup and non-profit organization called Roca, and attended a Williams Earthshot Prize awards ceremony at MGM Music Hall. William and Kate also sat courtside at a game between the Celtics and Miami Heat; However, they were not given a warm welcome as they were booed when they appeared on the jumbotron.
The Christmas card also comes just two days before the premiere of the second part of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentaries Harry & Meghan. The latest trailer, released on December 12, dives deeper into the couple’s decision to step down as senior royals and start a new life in California. “I wonder what would have happened to us if we hadn’t gotten out on time,” Harry says for the first few seconds. William and Kate have yet to publicly comment on the documentary, but they have said so loudly The Sunday TimesWilliam has reportedly “advised friends not to retaliate”.
