The star, who previously said she’s retired from filmmaking, is dusting off her acting skills after signing on for a role next door Jamie Foxx in an upcoming Netflix movie called Back in action. The announcement was made in June via Jamie’s social media, where he posted an audio recording of a phone conversation between himself, Cameron and Tom Brady! Jamie had enlisted the help of his NFL GOAT buddy to calm him down Charlie’s Angel Vet, she’s ready to get back in the game!
“I spoke to Jamie and he said you need some tips on how to un-retire,” Tom told Cameron after Jamie put him through the call. “And I’m relatively successful at not retiring,” he added, referring to his return to football after announcing his retirement earlier this year. Cameron replied, “Honestly, just what I needed.”
Cameron’s last film role also happened to be with Jamie when they starred in the remake annie back in 2014. Two years ago, Cameron spoke about giving up acting after that annie and how it brought her “peace”. Speak with Gwyneth Paltrowwho has also said she is retiring from acting for a while, Cameron described the move as “a peace in my soul because I was finally taking care of myself.”
“It was so intense working at that level and being so public and showing yourself out there,” she continued. “There’s always a lot of energy coming at you when you’re really visible as an actor, making press and putting yourself out there. You’re there 12 hours a day for months with no time for anything else.
“I realized I had given parts of my life to all these other people,” Cameron added. “I basically had to take it back and take responsibility for my own life.”
