every fall, Gilmore Girls Fans around the world are rebooting the beloved mother-daughter drama series for the millionth time. Somehow the fall season is also the perfect time to reconnect with Lorelai and Rory.
While Gilmore Girls Lorelai Gilmore may be known for her affinity with fall, but she also has an emotional connection to snow, making the series an ideal watch for winter. Just like Lorelai can smell the first snow before it falls, Gilmore fans can feel the best episodes to watch when the temperature is near freezing.
But does the hit WB/CW series have any Christmas episodes for fans to watch? Season 3’s Thanksgiving episode is classic, and you’d better believe the Gilmores know how to celebrate Christmas, too.
Gilmore Girls Christmas episodes
Due to the setting in Stars Hollow, Connecticut, a fictional small town just outside of Hartford, the series’ snowy exterior made several episodes feel Christmassy without even trying. But there were actually several episodes of the popular series that actually took place over the holidays.
Here are all the Christmas episodes from Gilmore Girls:
- Season 1, Episode 10: “Forgiveness and All”
- Season 2 Episode 10: “The Bracebridge Dinner”
- Season 7, Episode 10: “Merry Fisticuffs”
- Season 7, Episode 11: “Santa’s Secret Stuff”
- A year in life Episode 1: “Winter”
The first season celebrates Christmas in true Gilmore fashion, which means there have been plenty of complicated family affairs, but there’s also the appearance of Luke’s iconic Santa burger. Instead of celebrating the holidays, Season 2 heralds the equally chaotic Bracebridge Dinner.
Gilmore Girls The Christmas holidays are not prominently featured again until the final season when Luke and Christopher engage in physical beatings in “Merry Fisticuffs,” then Lorelai celebrates the January holidays when Rory returns home from her trip to London.
The first episode of Netflix, of course A year in life Miniseries takes place in the winter quarter of the cover year in Life. Once again, Lorelai revels in the snow and Star Hollow sparkles with holiday lights and decorations. It’s an annual must!
