Dragon Age: Absolution is a new collaboration between video game developer BioWare and Netflix. This six-part animated series is set in the popular dragon time Franchises that most fans know from the games, including Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age IIand Dragon Age: Inquisition. The fourth main game Dragon Age: Dread Wolfis currently in progress.
The animated series follows a group of new and returning characters on a heist to recover a magical artifact from a palace in Tevinter. Part of the reason fans have been excited for this show is that it will give viewers our first official look at Tevinter, which has only been mentioned in the games so far but will likely be a setting Dragon Age: Dread Wolf.
That Dragon Age: Absolution The season one finale ends on a big cliffhanger, so fans are now excited to see if the story will continue with a second season on Netflix.
Will Dragon Age: Absolution Season 2 be on Netflix?
Netflix hasn’t renewed or canceled the show just yet, but given how the finale ended, we can assume there are plans to continue the story. Whether that’s in the upcoming video game Dragon Age: Dread Wolf or in a second season remains to be seen.
Spoilers ahead for Dragon Age: Absolution
At the end of the season we find out that Hira is the real traitor, not Fairbanks. Hira escapes with the Circulum to take to the Crimson Knight, an extremist faction within the Inquisition. The episode also reveals that Meredith Stannard is still alive in some ways, as she issues orders from her petrified state in red Lyrium in Kirkwall, where Hawke defeated her Dragon Age II.
There is one storyline that could continue if Netflix orders Dragon Age: Absolution Season 2.
