Kendall Jenner27 and Harry Styles, 28, may have a “long history” together but they’re not interested in sparking a romance. The model and singer sparked dating rumors in 2013 and 2016 when they were spotted on numerous dates but never confirmed a long-term commitment. Although she recently became single after splitting from an on and off beau, Devin Bookerand he recently took a “break” from his longtime girlfriend, Olivia Wildethe once-alleged lovebirds apparently plan to remain just friends for very specific reasons.

“Kendall will always have a special place in her heart for Harry,” a source told EXCLUSIVE HollywoodLife. “They always had a great time together and formed a really close friendship. They’ve stayed in touch over the years, despite dating other people. They have a lot of mutual respect for each other, but there’s nothing going on romance-wise at this point.”

“They’re both newly single and that’s just not where Kendall’s head is,” the source continued. “She loves spending time with Harry and they have a lot of fun, but things between them are totally platonic. She’s not in a position to get into another committed relationship any time soon.”

A source close to Harry said the former A direction Member loves Kendall and they have a good level of “trust” between them, but they are both very “busy” and he is content to remain friends. “Harry always adored Kendall and he thinks the world of her,” the insider told us EXCLUSIVELY. “They have become such close friends over the years that if they ever started dating, the relationship would seem so easy for both of them. You’ve already built the trust part. But neither Harry nor Kendall are interested in getting involved in anything serious right now.”

“He’s on the first leg of a world tour and she’s super busy with her modeling career,” added the insider. “If anything ever came of this, it wouldn’t happen until their worlds aligned. That doesn’t mean they don’t hang out. The potential for a connection is real, but none of them would say anything about it.”

Kendall and Harry made headlines when she was spotted at one of his many concerts in Los Angeles, California for his love on tour earlier this month. She stood by Hailey Bieber and was photographed dancing to his music on stage. Despite the emergence of love rumors, a third source reiterated that there was nothing going on between them. “Kendall and Harry have a long history and after she went to his concert everyone was wondering if they’d be back. Kendall swears there’s nothing going on, that they’re just friends,” the source told us EXCLUSIVELY. “But they definitely have a flirtatious friendship, they’ve always had chemistry so you never know where things might go with them.” At that point, Kendall tells everyone they’re just friends.”
