We’ll be honest. In 2022, Netflix produced a few good movies, but most didn’t hit the mark. But that doesn’t mean the streamer didn’t deliver at all. One movie we enjoyed this year is In love with Christmas!
The production stars Lindsay Lohan as Sierra Belmont, Chord Overstreet as Jake, George Young as Tad, Jack Wagner as Beauregard Belmont, Olivia Perez as Avy, Chase Ramsey as Terry Carver, Sean J. Dillingham as Ralph and Antonio D. Charity as Sheriff to see Borden.
The film is about spoiled hotel heiress Sierra Belmont, who suffers a skiing accident just as she is getting engaged, leaving her with lifelong amnesia. Caring cabin owner Jake finds her and offers to put her up at his place of work, where he and his daughter live while she recovers in the days leading up to Christmas.
If you haven’t seen this movie yet, you absolutely must! And below we shared why this movie is worth your time.
Why Falling for Christmas is the best new Christmas movie
First of all, if you’re a big Lindsay Lohan fan, you know it’s a big deal that the actress even starred in this movie! After personal challenges and years of retiring from acting, the former child star has returned to the job she is so good at and we couldn’t be happier! I mean, The parent trap, Crazy Fridayand mean girls are just a few of the mega hits she starred in. She nailed those roles perfectly!
With Christmas just around the corner, that means it’s time for those Christmas movies. For some they are a guilty pleasure, for others they really enjoy them. Unfortunately, what you often see is the low budget, obviously cheesy storylines, and frightened characters.
As for vacation movies In love with Christmas doesn’t fit this bill. Lohan is really glowing and so adorable to look at. Overstreet’s portrayal of the character is charming, and young actress Perez is so sweet and personable. Plus, the feel-good storyline and a bit of comedy help lift your spirits. So if you haven’t given this movie a chance, we encourage you to do so!
In love with Christmas is now streaming on Netflix.
