In her blind audition Gwen Stefani turned her red chair over first. Camila cabello followed and blocked Gwen. John legend and Blake Shelton also turned their chairs. Morgan cried after her performance of “Hallelujah” as she watched the coaches stand up for her. “It was exquisite. One of the best blind auditions I’ve seen in a long time,” John told Morgan. Gwen said Morgan sounded like she was “already on a Grammy stage.”
Morgan was mentored by Camila throughout the competition and never failed to impress with her performances. Morgan made an appearance on the first night of the season 22 finale Bonnie Tylers “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and Little Big Towns “Girl crush.” After “Girl Crush,” John stated that Morgan was one of the best country voices he had heard on The Voice.

Morgan worked as a nanny for the children of a woman who was dying of ALS. She lost her 33-year-old cousin to brain cancer, and the relative influenced her debut album. “I have had many difficulties and it has taken a lot for me emotionally and mentally to overcome them, but my musical and personal life purpose has never been clearer,” she wrote on her website. Her grandfather died of a brain tumor.
