Netflix just released another series that fans can’t get enough of. And this time it marked the return of the Addams family. Leave the pattern of colorful high school series such as sex education and I have never, Wednesday follows a darker theme. The series follows goth girl icon Wednesday Addams as she tries to settle into her new school or, in her case, not settle in.
Wednesday has managed to find the perfect balance between sadism and comedy to offer us an eight-episode series. When Netflix announced the Jenna Ortega project, fans were already hyped. So it wasn’t a shock that Wednesday was the #1 streaming giant shortly after its release. But after galloping through the exciting series in one go, fans are wondering if there will be a second season.
Is Netflix greenlighting season 2 on Wednesday?
The Addams family is already loved by many of us, and bringing back the Gothic daughter with top-notch one-liners was an incredible idea for the streaming giant. Spoiler alert: she says “I eat Girl Scouts for breakfast‘ also in this series. The masterminds behind this horror comedy are Alfred Gough & Miles Millar. The icing on the cake, however, is that Christina Ricci, who played in on Wednesday Addams familyis also part of the cast.
Four out of eight episodes of this mysterious masterpiece were directed by Tim Burton. From a star-studded cast to a brilliant plot and enigmatic characters, Wednesday has everything to be renewed. However, Netflix hasn’t made any official announcements yet.

But the end of season one leaves plenty of room for another brilliant season at Nevermore. After all, Xavier has yet to decide whether he will attend another semester on Wednesday.

A writer doesn’t write a brilliant novel and then a tank. Definitely not when the author is Wednesday Addams due to her competitive nature. From the good reception to the storyline that has potential for a new season, all signs point to it Wednesday Season 2. And up Netflix gives the project the green light, you can enjoy Wednesday’s one-liners again.
