We love Christmas in all its forms, from panettone to gift shopping. For the latter we especially like that of the european christmas marketsbut in Spain we also have some spectacular ones that we can visit without having to take a plane.
In addition to Christmas markets in the center of Madrid, we can enjoy a Christmas atmosphere in many towns in the Community. Some already have a long tradition in setting up Christmas plans and others are opening this year, but what is certain is that visiting these Christmas markets it’s a plan.
The Christmas market in Alcalá de Henares
In addition to his famous Cervantino market, Alcalá de Henares is famous for its wonderful Christmas market.It is located in the Plaza de Cervantes from December 3, 2022 to January 8, 2023, and it is full of booths selling crafts and typical Christmas products. In addition, there is a carousel, a train, a Christmas tree and two nativity scenes, the Traditional Nativity Scene of the House of the Interview and the Great Monumental Nativity Scene of the Old Gal Factory.
The Torrelodones Shell Market
The Shell Market is celebrated the weekend of December 10 and 11 and it is a Christmas market with products from Madrid. It is a common project of artisans and designers who take advantage of these days to show their work and fix Christmas gifts for us. Ceramics, costume jewellery, gastronomic products, clothing, accessories, decorative objects… I’m sure we find something that suits us for our invisible friend.
If you like, you can also visit the Mercado de los Pérez, in Bonanza, Boadilla del Monte, which is held on December 17 and 18.
Navidalia, the Getafe Christmas Fair
It is the first year that it is celebrated and it opens on December 2 and will be open until January 9, 2023. Christmas will be located in the Fairgrounds, will have Christmas market, more than 150,000 lights, skating rink, Ferris wheel, a Christmas tree walkable of 15 meters, the house of Santa Claus and a nativity scene with life-size pieces. A whole Christmas theme park that will please young and old.
Fundaland, in Mirasierra
The A La Par Foundation organizes a Christmas market during the weekend from December 16 to 18, with a special space for children. It has a multi-adventure park with zip lines; trampolines, a ball park and the classic Christmas market.
The Magical Christmas of Torrejón
This Christmas theme park is now in its 14th edition and will be open until January 6, 2023, from 12 to 12 noon. Shows, lights, a nativity scene, a Christmas market, a skating rink, the house of Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men and a giant Ferris wheel are just a hint of what we will find in this fantastic christmas theme park.
Christmas in Pozuelo de Alarcón
It is located in the parking lot of the Avenida de Europa corner with Carretera de Húmera and will be open from December 2, 2022 to January 8, 2023, and it is ideal to go with the family. A 46 meter high Ferris wheel, a 300 square meter ice rink, food trucks and different fairground attractions come together in Pozuelo and the plan seems ideal to us.
