Who’s ready for college? The first trailer for Amazon’s The Boys spinoff, Gen V, premiered at Brazil’s Comic-Con Experience on Saturday, December 3rd, and the new series looks just as fiendish as the original. While the voiceover promises Godolkin University students that the campus will provide them with a “safe place to thrive,” it appears that enrolling at the college is a dangerous business.
The trailer shows blood, guts and… dolls? Without context, it’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on at the university, but if Vought is involved, you can bet the whole operation is shady.
Gen V was announced around the time The Boys season 3 was canceled earlier this year – just in time to keep fans looking forward to next season. The R-rated series follows a group of supes at the only all-superhero college and the action-packed ridiculousness that ensues. “[It] examines the lives of hormonal, competitive supes as they test their physical, sexual and moral limits and compete for the best contracts in the best cities. “It’s part college show, part Hunger Games. – with all the heart, satire and mess of ‘The Boys’.”
