Shakira and Gerhard Pique arrived in court on Thursday 1st December to finalize their custody agreement. The former couple were seen arriving in Barcelona months after announcing they were separating to finalize the deal. The musician, 45, and the former soccer player, 35, came and went separately as they settled over their two children: Sascha, 7, and Milan, 9.
Shakira rocked an all-black look for the day in court. She wore a black turtleneck and pants with a white stripe down the hem. She was also wearing a Burberry coat when she arrived. As an accessory, she wore large sunglasses. Her ex-boyfriend wore a blue button-down under a baggy black jacket and wore a black beanie. The day in court wasn’t the first time they had seen each other since their split. Both were spotted attending their son Milan’s baseball games in Barcelona in September and November.
While the details of their custody agreement have not yet been released, it was reported that the couple had reached an agreement that would allow the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer to move with them to Miami, Florida, where her maternal family resides the boys, after E! news. “Our only goal is to provide our children with the utmost safety and security and hope that they can continue their lives in a safe and peaceful environment,” they said in a joint statement.
The hearing came about six months after the couple first announced they were separating. They released a joint statement, announcing that they had decided to part ways. “We regret to confirm that we are separating,” they said. “For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect our privacy.
