Did Sara Haines just greenlight her husband to have casual sex with other women? It certainly seems so – and no less so on live television during the day. In today’s episode of the view The co-host spilled her marriage and also feuded with Joy Behar over what they would be willing to forgive their respective spouses.
Haines, who was adamant she would be the first to step down if her husband revealed he was in love with someone else, admitted she would be willing to process other mistakes — like orgies and affairs , now that she has to be considerate of her children.
“I was literally joking the other day — if Max walked in and said he had an orgy with 40 women, I’d be like, ‘We need to talk about it,'” she said. “My old self would say ‘I’m out,’ but now it means so much more. There are more people at stake, more lives at stake. Is this something I can salvage? Is this a conversation, a moment of growth? Can we come back from this?”
In the Behar household, however, things would not be so civil.
After bluntly admitting that she would “strangle and stab” her husband in his sleep if he cheated on her (Watch out, Steve!), Behar quickly jumped in to let her co-host know she wasn’t feeling that there is a solution to this situation. She added that the couple “wouldn’t be happy and the kids would feel it anyway.”
Even so, Haines firmly believed she would be able to overcome infidelity, telling Behar, “If there’s something you’re still fighting for and wanting to work toward, I believe there can be reconciliation.” , which does not affect the children.”
When Behar pointed out that “something is wrong in the marriage” when the man “falls in love with someone else,” Haines snapped back immediately, reminding her co-host of what she said earlier in the segment.
“Oh my god, they’re falling in love, Joy. Did you hear that?” She asked. “If he drops the ‘L’ word, I’m done. Orgy and sex? Fine. Love? No.”
The view airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
