Olivia Wilde, 38, beamed as she walked the red carpet at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards on December 6. The actress wore a sleeveless black sheer dress with a chunky back and a gold belt to the event, and had her wavy hair down. She also showed off her signature black eyeliner makeup as she posed confidently for cameras.
In addition to being one of the best dressed at the awards show, Olivia won big. She accepted the Drama Film Award when her film don’t worry darling, won the honor. “This award is not for me, it is for the entire production and it is a great honor to accept it on behalf of all of us don’t worry darling Family,” she said during her acceptance speech, which can be seen here. “We made this film in 2020 when a lot of people weren’t sure that audiences would ever return to theaters if they ever reopened.”
“Yet every single day during a pandemic, more than 190 brilliant crew members showed up to do something they hoped you would show up,” she continued. “And you showed up. And we are so, so grateful.”
The director then thanked everyone behind the scenes of the successful film. “There’s just so many people that are so important in making a film,” she explained. “From our PA team, to our AD department, to our Covid security team, our janitorial staff, our transport team and the stunt performers. The deputies. All these people showed up and worked so hard and sacrificed so much just hoping to make something they would enjoy. This award means so much to all of us and is a true testament to their hard work. So this is for her. Thank you guys.”
Olivia’s victory comes after she made headlines for her split from singer and don’t worry darling Actor, Harry Styles Mid-Nov. Sources told persons that the lovebirds, who dated for almost two years, were “taking a break” from their romance while he continued touring. “He’s still touring and is going abroad now,” one of the sources told the outlet. “She’s focused on her kids and her work in LA. It’s a very amicable decision.” The source added that they are “still very close friends,” and another insider said, “Right now, they have other priorities that separate them.”
