The 90-10 rule ensures perfect nails in a flash
Manicured nails in no time. Sounds impossible? But it is not. All you have to do is follow the simple 90-10 rule. We reveal what’s behind it.
Sometimes our nails drive us crazy. They splinter off, become brittle or simply don’t want to work the way you imagine. But the time to take care of the problem extensively is somehow missing. If your nails get too long, you clip them back down quickly and pray it looks reasonably neat. Quickly put a bit of hand cream over it – that will fix it somehow. But this is exactly where the mistake lies: In order to get beautiful fingernails, it has to be done properly – but that doesn’t mean that we have to spend more time on it. Doesn’t anyone believe us? Then you don’t know the 90-10 rule yet.
Perfectly manicured nails: What is behind the 90-10 rule?
The 90-10 rule ensures beautiful nails in no time. But what does it mean? The numbers refer to how much of your nails to clip and how much to file. In other words, you should cut 90 percent of your outgrown nail length and you only have to file 10 percent. This method saves a lot of time and still guarantees beautifully manicured nails.
The secret behind this is this: Just filing takes too much time, especially when it comes to nails that have grown very long. Nevertheless, you should not do without filing completely. The reason? The short filing at the end seals the nail, so to speak. This way the end of the nail is more stable and the nails can grow better without tearing or breaking off.
Better form through the 90-10 rule
Angular, round, oval – what would you like? Because the 90-10 rule has another decisive advantage. Filing at the end will make it easier for you to shape the nails into your desired shape. Because if the nail is already the right length, you can file and shape it more precisely. By the way: Have you always had a preferred nail shape? We’ll tell you what it says about your personality.
