The light blue eye, January 6th

Based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Louis Bayard, The light blue eye Christian Bale stars as a world-weary detective hired to help solve a gruesome murder. He teams up with none other than author Edgar Allen Poe to solve the crime. Other starring roles are played by Gillian Anderson, Lucy Boynton, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Toby Jones, Harry Lawtey, Simon McBurney, Hadley Robinson, Timothy Spall and Robert Duvall.

Ye folks, January 27th

This highly anticipated new film from writers Kenya Barris and Jonah Hill follows a new couple as they grapple with their families when it comes to societal expectations, culture and generational differences. You guys features a star-studded cast that includes Hill, Nia Long, David Duchovny, Eddie Murphy and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Your Place or Mine, February 10

Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher are best friends who couldn’t be more different in this new Valentine’s Day rom-com. As they trade lives and houses for a week, they realize that what they want may not be what they really need.

Luther, March 2023

Luther is an upcoming crime drama that will serve as a sequel to the popular, acclaimed series of the same name. Netflix hasn’t given us an exact release date for the film yet, but we do know that it will be out in March 2023. Idris Elba will return to play DCI John Luther. He is joined by Cynthia Erivo and Andy Serkis.

The Mother, May 2023

This action film, directed by Jennifer Lopez, will kick off Netflix in the summer of 2023 with a May arrival. Lopez plays a deadly ex-assassin who must come out of hiding to save her estranged daughter while dangerous assailants pursue her.

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, TBA

Wes Anderson’s next comedy adventure film is coming to Netflix! We assume that The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar won’t arrive until later in 2023, as Netflix likely wants this film to be considered for the awards. Benedict Cumberbatch plays the title character and the cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel, Ben Kingsley, Rupert Friend and Richard Ayoade.

Heart of Stone, TBA

Gal Gadot plays Rachel Stone, a CIA agent and the only woman standing between her peacekeeping organization and the loss of her most powerful and dangerous asset. Jamie Dornan and Sophie Okonedo also star. Netflix has had tremendous success with Gadot as an action film before Red notice starring her, Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson, has become one of the highest-grossing Netflix films of all time.
