After Kylie, 25, gave her fans an unexpected look at her and her Travis Scott’s son on Instagram on Nov. 28, fans accused the makeup mogul of trying to distract from Balenciaga’s controversial campaign, which featured children holding teddy bears dressed in BDSM bondage. The TikToker wrote, “Kris Jenner tells her kids to post the good photos after the Balenciaga scandal,” in reference to Kylie and Kim’s recent posts. The video has been played Eminem‘s song “Without Me” with the lyrics “This looks like a job for me so just follow me ’cause we need a little controversy.” Many other Social Media Users Similarly, they accused Kylie and her family members of trying to divert attention from Balenciaga.
But Kylie was quick to speak out against these powerful allegations in TikTok’s comments section. “Oh why would I post my kid to cover up Balenciaga? That’s why I don’t always say something,” Kylie wrote. The reality star rarely posts her son and daughter Stormy Webster4, on social media.
Kylie has not spoken out against the Balencaiga scandal. Kim didin an opinion shared on social media on November 27, where she insisted she was “disgusted and outraged” by the brand’s “disturbing” campaign. The Kardashians star explained that she is “currently re-evaluating” her relationship with the brand, but fans slammed Kim for not cutting ties with Balenciaga entirely. Kim has been proudly supporting Balenciaga for more than a year, modeling her clothes on the runway and on the go.
Balenciaga broke his silence regarding his controversial November 28 campaign. The company said: “We condemn child abuse in the strongest possible terms; It was never our intention to include it in our narrative. The two separate advertising campaigns in question reflect a series of serious errors for which Balenciaga accepts responsibility.” The lengthy statement concluded that “internal and external investigations” were currently underway and that Balenciaga was “extensively reviewing itself”.
