Some of our favorite celebrity parents include Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, who are mother and father to two daughters. The couple first met in 2008 and married in July 2010 at George Clooney’s Lake Como estate in Italy. While the actors are never shy about appearing on the red carpet or giving interviews, they are very conscientious about keeping their children out of the spotlight.
Krasinski doesn’t post anything about them on his social media (and Blunt doesn’t even have social media!), and the girls have never accompanied their parents to red carpets or other events. Although their filming schedules are often hectic, both Krasinski and Blunt often talk about how much their family means to them, and they go to great lengths to ensure they spend time as family.
“Family comes first no matter what, and that’s non-negotiable,” Krasinski said persons at a film festival in October 2018. “Family is the foundation that allows us to go out and have fun and have these incredible experiences,” Blunt added. “I try to take long distances in between [projects] to be with the children.”

Hazel Krasinski
Their first daughter, Hazel, was born in February 2014. Krasinski and Blunt have made it clear that they don’t even want their girls to know they’re famous, but Hazel must have received some indication of her mother’s celebrity status somewhere.
“[Hazel] came home the other day and we were in the kitchen and she said ‘are you famous?’ And I had never heard her before. . . we never said that word in our house. We don’t talk about it,” Blunt said in May 2021. “Someone at school had clearly said so. I thought, ‘Um. . . not really, I don’t think I am. Did someone say that to you, Haze?’ She said, “Yeah,” but then she wouldn’t reveal much more, you know, but it’s weird. It is strange.”
Violet Krasinski
Their second daughter Violet was born in June 2016. John shared the news on Twitter on July 4th this year and wrote: “What better way to celebrate the 4th… than to announce our 4th family member!!! 2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet.”
