Kit Harington hasn’t officially spoken about the Jon Snow sequel that’s currently in development, but he did end up speaking about his character’s fate game of Thrones after killing Daenerys Targaryen. “I think if you had asked him, he would have felt like he got off lightly,” Kit said loudly at the Game of Thrones convention EW. “At the end of the show, when we find him in that cell, he’s preparing to be beheaded, and that’s what he wants. He’s done. That he goes to the wall is the greatest gift and also the greatest curse.”
Jon Snow was sent to the Night’s Watch as punishment instead of being killed. He was last seen traveling behind the Wall. Kit doesn’t think Jon Snow can ever live in peace.
“He has to go back to the place with all this history and spend his life thinking about how he killed Dany and spend his life thinking about how Ygritte died in his arms and spend his life thinking about it how he hung Olly. and living his life reflecting on all that trauma, and that…” Kit noted. After a short pause, he added, “That’s interesting.”
He continued, “I think where we leave him at the end of the show, there’s always this feeling of … I think we wanted that kind of little smile that things are okay. He does not feel good.”
It was reported back in June that a Jon Snow-centric sequel series was in early development The Hollywood Reporter. game of Thrones author and creator George RR Martin spoke about the project and revealed that the show’s working title is snow.
“Yes, it was Kit Harington who gave us the idea,” George wrote on his official site. “I can’t give you the names of the writers/showrunners as this hasn’t been cleared for publication yet… but Kit brought them too, his own team, and they’re great.”
HBO has yet to confirm the show, but it’s very likely to hit TV screens following the massive success of the sequel series house of the dragonwhich will return for Season 2.
Until the network makes an official announcement, Kit remains cryptic. “The only thing I’m going to say is that I don’t know anything about it…George is allowed to talk. I would be talking in riddles if I went any further,” he said Monday Happy sad confused Podcast in September 2022.
