Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have released the much-anticipated first volume of their documentaries Harry & Megan. The first episode of the Netflix show mainly focused on the Duke’s childhood and his relationship with his mother, Princess Diana. He discussed it openly fond memories with the late Princess of Wales while also remembering some horrific ones.

Prince Harry, as always, spoke about Princess Diana wanted to protect him and his brother Prince William from the prying eyes of the media. After her divorce from King Charles III. however, she failed to protect her own privacy. Being surrounded by the press was nothing new for the princess after her marriage to the royal prince. “My mother has been molested with my father all her life. But after they broke up, the harassment reached a new level. Yes, she may have been one of the most influential and powerful women in the world, but she was totally exposed to it.” That’s what Prince Harry said in the Netflix documentaries.
The Duke revealed how his mother’s suffering caused him fear for his wife because of the media. He doubted finding a woman who would not be driven out by the brutal press in Britain. “I’ve seen things, I’ve experienced things, I’ve learned things. The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution.” the royal prince was quoted as saying in the first episode.

Remarkably, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also included clips from Princess Diana’s interviews, where she had them turned out to be uncomfortable because of the constant intrusion from the media.
