Halsey just made one Celebration change their appearance. The artist and founder of the U-turn has been rocking a short, dark cropped haircut for the past few months, but they’ve simply ditched it in favor of a bright copper color with long lengths and bangs.
Halsey debuted the transformation on Instagram Stories with a selfie. “New day, new person see you tomorrow,” Halsey wrote, which could be a hint that the red won’t last forever. After all, they’re known for their chameleonic approach to beauty, turning everything from Marilyn Monroe to the ’90s on its head with wigs and makeup.
The new hair color is a perfect light strawberry red that really makes Halsey’s hazel eyes pop. Although we can’t see exactly how long the hair is, it appears to be brushing her shoulders in ringlets. A series of curtain bangs that graze the forehead adds to the transformation; it gives us Hayley Williams, Halsey style.
Halsey’s new hairstyle may be longer than we’ve seen the star lately, but she’s experimented with shades of red many times throughout her career, including several this year alone. In August, Halsey stated bright cherry red highlights for a trip to Tokyo and debuted a copper chop in September before darkening. Halsey previously told Teen Vogue that they “feel like a different person every week,” so the change makes a lot of sense. We hope this super trendy shade of red stays!
