What I love the most #PinocchioMovie is not being afraid to actually talk about death and what it would actually mean to become a “real boy”. It makes the film 10x harder than any Disney adaptation. Pinocchio is originally known for his unique nose. We know that the character’s nose grows when he’s lying. But the creators managed to use this unique aspect throughout the film while keeping the main focus on the adventures of the wooden boy. The basic plot of the film revolves around Geppetto’s creation. He is a carpenter who loses his son during the Great War and ends up carving a human-like structure in his son’s memory. But the story only begins there.
