Emily in Paris Season 2 was one of the most anticipated Netflix shows of 2021, and it didn’t take long for fans to sift through the new episodes. Since then it’s been waiting Emily in Paris Season 3.
The second season premiered on Netflix on December 22, just in time for viewers to reunite with the Emmy-nominated romantic comedy series over the holidays. Picking up in the love triangle cliffhanger from the season 1 finale, Emily in Paris Season 2 throws Emily in at the deep end, both at work and in her personal relationships. The season finale perfectly sets up another season of soul searching for the titular character.

Will there be an Emily in Paris in Season 3?
This was announced by Netflix on January 10th Emily in Paris Season 3 has officially been renewed. But that’s not all of the good news from Emily that Netflix had to share. The streamer also announced this Emily in Paris Would be back for Season 4.
Netflix typically announces renewals within a month of a series’ release, but lately renewals have changed. This is what Netflix announced Emily in Paris Season 3 (and 4!) less than a month after Season 2 premiered. Of course, the future of the show beyond the two-season extension is still undecided.
Emily in Paris Season 3 Release Date
Since Emily in Paris Season 2 premiered a little over a year after the series debut, that’s to be expected Emily in Paris Season 3 will follow. We know that the third season is being filmed now and Launched early June 2022. That means there’s a good chance we’ll see the third season premiere sometime in the first half of 2023.
Lily Collins and the rest of the cast performed during the TUDUM fan event on Saturday, September 24th to give an inside look at Season 3. Luckily, the cast announced that the new season will be released on December 21, 2022. Have fun vacation with Emily!
Cast of Emily in Paris Season 3
Netflix has confirmed that Lucien Laviscount will return as Alfie in season three. Even better, Laviscount has been upgraded to a series regular, meaning he’ll have a full-time role in the new season.
Aside from Laviscount, we can assume that all of the main characters will be back in Season 3. Here’s the season 2 lead lady we’re expecting to return:

We have good news for fans of the Netflix original! As previously mentioned, Emily is actually filmed in Paris Season 3. Lily Collins took to her Instagram account on June 1 to share a new shot of her and Ashley Park to mark the start of production. In her caption, she wrote: “Reunited in Paris! First photos of Emily in Paris Season 3
On Thursday, September 22, before the cast’s performance at TUDUM, Netflix has revealed a series of first look photos out Emily in Paris Season 3. In the photos, Emily shares up close encounters with Alfie and Gabriel, rekindling the love triangle.
Also of note is that Emily (still in Paris!) shares a meal with Mindy and Camille, suggesting that Emily has put aside her feelings for Gabriel and buried the hatchet with Camille in order to become friends again. Certainly, this dynamic is still easier said than done.

Emily in Paris Season 3 Summary
Based on what happened in the shocking Season 2 finale, we can learn a little of what to expect from the sequel. Without spoiling any major spoilers, Emily will make a life-changing decision about her professional and personal future in Paris. In doing so, she will effectively change the course of her relationships with both Gabriel and Alfie.
Of course, there will be plenty more laughter, drama and stunning fashion to come Emily in Paris Season 3 now that Sylvie has gone independent from Savoir and Mindy has found a solid foundation for her singing career (and love life!). But what’s next for Emily?

Meanwhile, Emily continues to find herself surrounded by Alfie and Gabriel. The trailer teases potential sparks between Emily and Gabriel as he drunkenly tells her she changed his life. What can we expect for Emily’s romantic and professional life this season?

Along with the trailer, Netflix also released the poster for season 3. In the key art for the new season, Lily Collins appears as Emily in a cascading reddish tulle dress with metallic heels on the floor. She is sitting on a windowsill with the Eiffel Tower shining behind. The tagline teases that “tourist season is over.” Things are getting serious for Emily!
