Dua Lipa Her most recent red carpet appearance was all about pleasantly cool. Instead of hitting the carpet in a pair of skyscraper heels, she ditched the stilettos for a pair of stylish sneakers.
The choice of shoes made perfect sense given the occasion. Dua didn’t attend the Grammys or a fashion gala, but attended the 2022 Footwear News Achievement Awards at Cipriani South Street in New York City, where she accepted the Collection of the Year award alongside Puma. The star is part of the Puma family so it’s no surprise she was there to support the brand – no less than in a pair of their boots. For the event, the musician ensured a casual look in a long metallic blue leather coat, a black midi dress with a cleavage at the neckline and a pair Puma x Dua Lipa Cell Dome King sneakers, part of their latest Puma Collection.

The black leather trainers have red accents, a motif that runs through some of Dua’s other designs for the activewear company. They’ll look right at home on the red carpet, but they’re also perfect for a day of errands – or a night of dancing on stage. (They would look great with her collection of catsuits.) If you’re feeling Dua’s look and want to slip into something more comfortable, just like the star, the shoes retail for $150 and are currently available in many sizes – for now!
The star finished her night-time look with a sleek braided ponytail, a blue-grey eye to match the coat and pink lipstick, and carried a chain-handled heart-shaped bag reinforced with spikes. The whole vibe was very Dua and totally on trend, which makes a strong argument for team sneakers vs. team heels this holiday season.
