Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce has sparked a lot of discussion. High-profile divorces are often much discussed in public because of the sheer volume of numbers and names associated with them. In the case of this fashionable duo, from 2021 Kardashian had to wait until now to resolve the divorce.
While both were once billionaires, Ye lost much of his net worth after parting ways with fashion brands amid controversy. On the other hand, the court ordered him to pay Kim Kardashian $200,000 a month for child care because he cared for her four children: North, Saint, Psalm and Chicago. But dr Umar Johnson appears to have strong opinions about the court’s decision.

Everyone has an opinion and side on Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce. Recently dr. Umar Johnson got his 2 cents on the matter by siding with the rapper. He recently guest-starred on an episode of The Breakfast Club Where he was asked if it would have been different if Ye had married a black woman.
Johnson answered, “Oh absolutely. I think Kim Kardashian used it. … And the fact that they are making this man pay $200,000 a month in child support even though he and his wife are billionaires is absolutely ridiculous. I think they want to break it.”
However, Johnson has been cautious about his opinions of Ye. While he was on his side on the divorce issue, the psychologist disagreed with Ye’s opinions and how he articulated them. The psychologist shared how he feels the rapper isn’t choosing sides and sticking to it and likely has untreated mental health issues that worry him. Nonetheless, he commended Ye for speaking out, opening up about the exploitation of Black music and artists, and becoming the first artist since Michael Jackson to do so.

Meanwhile, the court has awarded the couple equal custody, and in addition to monthly child support, Ye will also pay half of the child’s school fees, security and other expenses. It remains to be seen how long they will be co-parents without any problems.
