Chrishell Stause is not happy with the plus-one policy of the People’s Choice Awards and expressed her frustration shortly after the December 6 ceremony. The “Selling Sunset” star posted a series of tweets early on December 7 calling out the PCAs for allegedly not allowing her to bring her partner G Flip to the show as a guest.
“Up until a few days ago I was struggling to get them in and just to see everyone invited.”
“I’m a little on the sauce, so I’ll probably regret that later. BUT people’s decision didn’t allow me to bring my partner to the awards. I could ONLY get a plus 1 if it was an actor. Wtf”, she wrote on Twitter. “Sure that means I’ll never be nominated again, but frankly fu.” in the another tweetStause added that all of her “Selling Sunset” co-stars who were invited had Plus Ones, and even though they were nominated for Best Reality Star, the PCAs reportedly still didn’t allow her to bring G Flip.
“I didn’t know until I got there that everyone was invited. So what was the problem?!” she wrote in another tweet. Stause’s tweets explained that G Flip isn’t in the country right now, so they couldn’t have attended the show anyway, “but we just realized that recently,” she said wrote. “Up until a few days ago I was struggling to get them in and just to see everyone invited. Gtfoh.”
reservoir closed their tweets by writing: “If you’re inviting the entire cast of #sellingsunset @peopleschoice awards, then why MUST my plus be a cast member or otherwise be told I don’t get a plus one…?” If no other cast were invited, that would make sense, but…” you added: “I see – there are MUCH bigger problems. But those are the things that people don’t usually say out loud unless they have multiple correspondence receipts and have had one too many tequilas and dgaf.” Representatives from the People’s Choice Awards did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment.
Stause and G Flip went public with their relationship after the reality star announced their romance during the Selling Sunset season 5 reunion. Stause and the Australian singer met on Halloween in 2021 and have since attended the MTV Movie & TV Awards together and been spotted a number of times.
