Chris Kattan undergoes emergency surgery for pneumonia – Hollywood Life +2023

Chris Kattan was reportedly rushed to hospital on Sunday 4 December after being diagnosed with Streptococcus pneumoniae TMZ. It looks like the operation was a success and he will be discharged from the hospital soon.

Sources told the outlet that Chris is likely to be discharged from the hospital on Friday, assuming his health continues to improve. Unfortunately for them Night at the Roxbury Star, he was scheduled to perform two standup comedy shows at The Market in Valparaiso, Indiana on Friday, December 9, but the shows (as well as some other engagements) are being postponed to give him time to recover. Hopefully he’ll be out and about again soon and making people laugh!

Chris hasn’t addressed the hospitalization on his social media, which he often uses to advertise his youtube Sketch comedy show Hello Kattan. That Saturday night live alum’s latest Instagram post promoted a skit in which he played a life-size “Elf-on-a-Shelf.”

The pneumonia surgery isn’t the first medical issue Kattan has addressed publicly. Back in his SNL Days later, he broke his neck attempting a stunt, and it wasn’t until two days later that a doctor told him he’d sustained the horrific injury, for which he underwent multiple surgeries. “The doctor said I was so close to being almost paralyzed for the rest of my life [before the second surgery],” he said persons in a 2017 interview. “The rehabilitation process was really serious this time. I mean, the doctor put bolts in my back.”

In the interview, he admitted he was reluctant to tell anyone about his injury, fearing it would affect his work. He said that after multiple surgeries and a DUI arrest, he decided to share his story while he was performing dancing with the stars but he was eliminated in the first round of the 24th season anyway. “It really opened my eyes. I think this will be the last time I ever hide any kind of illness or problem,” he said persons. “Living through this misery has made me stronger.”
