Anne’s ex-husband, Coleman LaffoonShe shared a slideshow of snaps of her only child decorating a Christmas tree Instagram on December 11th and captioned the carousel on a sweet note. “@homerheche has been through a lot. Having him with us, putting a star on the tree, sharing his joy and love, and being loved by his family is a moment that takes my breath away,” wrote Coleman, 49. “I want that moment to be here share. We are happy and grateful to have Homer with us. Cheers to Ho-ho-Homer. We love you.”

The first photo in the slideshow showed Homer standing on a stool and carefully placing a star on the top of the tree. The next photo showed him with his arm around his stepmother, Lexi, and a blissful grin on his face. The third and final photo showed Homer bonding with his three younger half-siblings as they worked together to decorate the tree.

As fans know, Homer lost his actress mother in a fatal car accident in mid-August after she crashed her blue Mini Cooper into a Los Angeles home. Anne was in critical condition after the accident, which left her with severe burns. She fell into a coma fighting for her life but was taken off life support on Sunday 14 August. She left Homer and his younger brother behind Atlas13 she had with ex-boyfriend, Jacob Tupper57

Two days before her official death, Homer remembered his mother. “My brother Atlas and I lost our mother. After six days of almost unbelievable emotional swings, I am left with a deep, wordless sadness. Hopefully my mom is pain free and starts exploring what I like to envision as her eternal freedom,” he began in his emotional statement PERSONS on August 12th.

“Thousands of friends, family and fans have given me their hearts over these six days,” he continued. “I’m grateful for her love, as well as the support of my father, Coley, and stepmother, Alexi, who continue to be my rock during this time.”

As Homer mourned, he became embroiled in a legal battle over Anne’s estate. Anne’s ex James filed legal papers in Los Angeles hoping he would become an “independent” administrator of the estate, arguing that Homer was unwilling to take on such responsibility. However, on November 30, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted Homer control of the estate.

“We believe the court reached the correct conclusion this morning, both legally and equitably, and are pleased to have this phase of the process behind us,” Homer’s attorney said HollywoodLife in an opinion. “Now that Mr. Tupper’s allegations and objections have been resolved, we hope administration of the estate can proceed without unnecessary complications.”

Homer had previously been appointed legal guardian of Atlas.
