We have Valentino to thank for the increased love for the flirty hue. Of course, Valentino isn’t the only brand playing with pink.

Although Barbiecore is having a big moment in 2022, a few celebs have been ahead of the trend and debuted pink looks in recent years.
While in New York before her Saturday night live hosting gig in October 2021, Kim Kardashian was spotted leaving the Ritz-Carlton in a striking all-pink Balenciaga look. The sighting was also reminiscent of her Balenciaga era. The reality star wowed in the label’s sleek velvet blazer, which she styled with shiny over-the-knee boots.
Tracee Ellis Ross is also a fan of Barbiecore. In September 2019, the actress stepped out in a hot pink Christopher John Rogers Design for the Popsugar x ABC Embrace Your Ish party in Los Angeles. The outfit consisted of a puffy crop top and a matching balloon skirt. Ross paired the set with neon pink lined PVC heels.
As for why Barbiecore is so enticing, we can assume the color will grab attention. The shade makes almost every outfit look more glamorous and harmonious.
