“Euphoria” gets a German adaptation +2023

More euphoria is on its way to you.

Unfortunately, it will likely be some time before HBO’s iteration of the series returns for a third season, however diversity uncovered that a German version of the series is in the works.

As the publication notes, euphoria started as an Israeli miniseries. Originally airing from 2012-2013, the show was later adapted for American viewers and premiered on HBO in 2019. Since then, we’ve been blessed with two seasons of HBO’s Emmy-nominated drama. Now the show is being adapted again, with a German version from Zeitsprung Pictures set to premiere sometime in the future.

There’s no word on a confirmed release date, plot, or characters, but the show has already secured two writers: Jonas Lindt and Paulina Lorenz. Both worked on the German series Print.

Here in the States, we’re still waiting for news on when Season 3 might premiere on HBO. Fans are speculating that we’ll likely have to wait until 2024 to return to Euphoria High.

It seems likely that cast members like Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney will return, but one euphoria Favorit left the series. On August 24, 2022, Barbie Ferreira, who portrayed Kat, announced her exit via an Instagram post. “After four years of portraying the very special and enigmatic character Kat, I have to say goodbye with tears in my eyes,” she wrote. Excited to see her journey into the character she is today.”
