Ghostface has a whole new territory scream 6. The killer leaves Woodsboro and makes his way to New York City. Your new favorites from the last movie will be back, trying to stay out of Ghostface’s crosshairs. The first teaser trailer was released on December 14th, heralding so much murderous mayhem.
The trailer shows a terrifying scene on a New York City subway with Sam, Tara, Mindy and Chad. As Halloween unfolds, there are a number of Ghostface costumes on the subway, making it difficult to decipher who is innocent and who is a serial killer. A Ghostface keeps getting closer to Mindy. As the lights go out, Ghostface sneaks up and grabs Mindy. Protect Mindy at all costs!
The new landscape allows Ghostface to be even more creative with his kills. Melissa Barrerawho plays Sam Carpenter teased that scream 6 is even gorier than previous films.
“There was a saying on the set because [directors] Frosted [Bettinelli-Olpin] and Tyler [Gillett] always asking for more blood and more sweat,” Melissa said colliders. “They always wanted more. “More blood spatter” was the saying, because they just kept wanting more. with the last one Scream, they tiptoed and tried to be very respectful of what the franchise had been up to that point and kept their inner bloody dreams in check. But with this one, they said, ‘We’re going all out.’ It’s possibly a hundred times bloodier.”
scream 6 welcomes fan favorite Kirby Reed, played by Hayden Panettiere. Kirby survived a near-fatal attack by Ghostface in scream 4. She joins the other Final Girls Sam, Tara, Sidney and Gale.
one Scream Vet not returning in Scream 6 is Neve Campbells Sydney Prescott. Neve confirmed she won’t be reprising the role of Sidney in June 2022 after contract negotiations fell through.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be doing the next one Scream movie,” Neve said in a statement HollywoodLife. “As a woman, I’ve had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my worth, especially when it comes to it Scream. I felt that the offer I was presented with did not match the value I brought to the franchise. “It was a very difficult decision to continue. To all my Scream fans i love you You have always been so incredibly supportive of me. I am forever grateful to you and for what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years.”
The film also has stars Courtney Cox, Jenna Ortega, Jasmine Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Dermot Mulroney, Samara weaving, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, and more. The sixth film in the Scream Franchise releases March 10, 2023.
