While the studio undoubtedly delivered some very memorable films to audiences, it seems like the studio had a tough time creating a cinematic universe like their Marvel counterpart. And according to the latest reports, former boss Walter Hamada was planning to bring Henry Cavill back back as Superman for an adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Walter Hamada wanted to bring Henry Cavill back to DCEU before Black Adam?
Things have changed completely since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the DC Extended Universe. With plans to re-develop the entire franchise, fans are excited to see what the future holds. However, according to the current status reports, Walter Hamada had a plan for the franchise starring Henry Cavill’s Superman. Apparently, the former boss was working on a long-term plan for the DCEU, which included an adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Rumors suggest that the first flash film would have laid the foundation for Crisis. By then, Cavill had already left the studio. However, Hamada wanted to bring the actor back with hopes that he would take the lead crisis. However, there is no confirmation of this.
What does the future hold for DC?
Although the most popular hero Superman has returned, the future still looks uncertain. Lately it seems like the DC fandom is extremely upset with the new management. In addition, James Gunn recently exposed a major misconception about him and the British actor. All in all, the future of Cavill’s Superman looks uncertain.
