I don’t give them gifts, which I don’t think they love at their age, but I say, ‘I think we’re going to remember the place and the photos and the experience, and that’s what I want to give you.'” he said TV presenter. The beauty then reassured viewers that she’s not a “cold mom” and still gives her kids gifts at other celebrations.

“You get a lot of things throughout the year, so I’m not like some weird, strict, cold mom who says, ‘You don’t get presents!’ I just feel like a better gift would be a memorial. I’d rather invest it in this,” she added. However, after several months have passed since the holidays, Drew sometimes questions her decision. “And then, somewhere in May, I thought, ‘Maybe I should say yes to a dollhouse or something. It all balances out and it’s fine,” joked the proud mom.

Although some fans were shocked to learn this, Drew previously revealed this tradition during a December 2021 episode of her show. The Drew Barrymore Show. “Get ready my kids, I’m not giving them any presents,” the actress told her pal Ross Mathews back then. “I’ll take them on a trip and they’ll be like, ‘How come we don’t have anything to open?'” Drew continued.

Just a day after Drew spoke to him ET On Thursday, she took to Instagram to post a video their train ride to Washington DC. “So I’m about to pull up on the Amtrak train in Wilmington, Delaware,” the comedian said in the Dec. 9 clip. “I’m wondering who I’m going to visit and see and interview…” Of course, many of her fans took the comments to guess, and many of them were right. “Joe Biden?” one fan asked, and Drew later shared a photo of himself outside the White House to confirm the news. “Guess who went to Washington? Drew shares her two daughters with her ex-husband, Will Kopelmann44, to whom she was married from 2012 to 2016. Before Will, the Flower Films founder was married to a comedian Tom Green51, from 2001 to 2002. And finally, her very first marriage was to a bartender Jeremy Thomas from 1994 to 1995. She is currently single and “dating,” which she revealed on her Dec. 2 show.
