Nick Carter42, has denied a claim he sexually assaulted an autistic fan after inviting her to the Back Street Boys‘ tour bus in 2001. “This allegation about an incident that allegedly took place more than 20 years ago is not only legally unfounded but also completely false,” his attorney said. Michael Holtzsaid in a statement obtained through HollywoodLife on Thursday December 8th. “Unfortunately, for a number of years, Ms Ruth has been manipulated into making false allegations about Nick – and those allegations have repeated and materially varied over time.”
He continued, “No one should be fooled by a press stunt orchestrated by an opportunistic attorney — there is no truth to that allegation and we have no doubt the courts will be quick to recognize.” The woman, whose full name reads Shannon “Shay” Ruth and who has cerebral palsy and autism, revealed her sexual assault lawsuit against Nick in a December 8 news conference. The now 39-year-old claimed Nick gave her what she believed to be an alcoholic drink, which he dubbed “VIP juice,” and then asked her for oral sex. She claimed the original incident happened in the tour bus bathroom and then went to bed.
